The "Ombudsman in Your Files" - produced at the suggestion of the Select Committee on the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and with the help of the Ombudsman's office - explains the Ombudsman's role and what happens when a complaint is investigated. It includes a number of case studies drawn from Ombudsman investigations to help officials avoid the problems that can lead to complaints.

Target Audience

Officials in departments, agencies and other public bodies who have direct dealings with members of the public.
