The Inter-Ministerial Group on Older People (IMG) is a cross-government group designed to develop a joined-up approach to older people’s issues and co-ordinate government policy for older people. The IMG is chaired by Alistair Darling, the Secretary of State for Social Security.
Life Begins at 50, the IMG’s programme of action to tackle the issues raised in its recent Listening to Older People exercise, was published on 17 May.
Winning the Generation Game, a report by the Cabinet Office’s Performance and Innovation Unit, was published on 27 April. The IMG will be co-ordinating the Government’s work to implement its conclusions.
