Info4localgov. This site provides the first, online, one-stop gateway for local authorities to get quick and easy access to local government-related information that is published on the web sites of central government departments and agencies.

Audit Commission. The Audit Commission is an independent body responsible for ensuring that public money is used economically, efficiently and effectively. The Audit Commission carries out national research on public sector delivery performance.

I&DeA. Established by and for local government, the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) draws expertise from local authorities, the business world, professional service firms, not for profit organisations as well as other parts of the public sector.

Local Government Association. This site provides all with an interest in local government with access to information on current issues, links to local authorities, news on events and interviews with leading local government features.

The Invest to Save Budget (ISB) is about oiling the wheels of partnership. ISB is itself a joint venture between Treasury and Cabinet Office. It provides funds to encourage two or more public bodies to jointly reconfigure elements of their work or to initiate new processes to provide innovative, or streamlined, or simply better modes of service. Often such a step is too risky, or considered too marginal, to attract mainstream funding. This is exactly why many bold ideas wither on the vine, even though - if these ideas were tested - they may lead to improved delivery at a better price.

Partnerships Online. A site about creating partnerships.
