There are no set dates for 2002, you can submit your application anytime in the year.

Q. Why do I have to register?

We ask organizations that intend to apply to register so we can write to the organization with a registration number and details about how and where to send the application. We also need to ensure that we have the right number of Assessors in place to deal with the applications.

Q. How do I register?

Registrations should be submitted electronically. An electronic version of the registration (and application form) are available at www.cmadmin.co.uk or from the Charter Mark Administration Service: e-mail address cmadmin@group4.com

Q. What is Public Sector funding?

Public Sector funding is funding from Central or Local Government; Education or Health Authorities. Money from the National Lottery Bodies is not raised through taxation and is therefore not classed as public funding.

Q. Can I get any help in applying for Charter Mark?

We help applicants by running Charter Mark seminars and workshops. We also have a help-line 0845 30 40 430 where there is a Charter Mark Assessor who will be able to give you guidance over the telephone.

For organizations in Northern Ireland the Northern Ireland Service First Unit will also help, they can be reached by telephone on 0800 243 174, by fax on (028) 90 526 107, by e-mail service.first@ofmdfmni.gov.uk or you can visit their website www.ni-charter.gov.uk

Q. How much does it cost?

A fee has been introduced for all Charter Mark applications. It is planned to charge a standard fee of £750 plus VAT for most applicants but with some variations. The fee is substantially subsidised. The Cabinet Office has an objective over time of full assessment cost recovery.  Details of the fee structure can be found here

There is no charge for the Charter Mark Seminars and Workshops.

The Guide for applicants is free from the publications line 0845 7 22 32 42.

There is a charge of £25.00 for the Self Assessment Pack from the publications line 0845 7 22 32 42.
