The Government’s commitment to incorporate the European Convention on Human Rights into UK law has led to the introduction of the Human Rights Act 1998. Web managers are advised that when there is any doubt then legal advice should be sought.

1.10.7.1 Introduction to the Human Rights Act

Under the Human Rights Act 1998 a British citizen is able to assert their rights under the European Convention on Human Rights through the national courts without having to take their case to the European Court of Human Rights.
