The start-up kit provides
a small, self-contained, accessible and usable website
template.
The material featured is
constructed in HTML 4 employing Cascading Style Sheets
[guidelines
section 6.2]. It is designed for training purposes
and to assist in building an active website. The kit
may be re-used free-of-charge without restriction, provided
the source is acknowledged.
When re-using it will be
necessary for the metadata [guidelines
section 1.7], PICS label [guidelines
section 1.8] and version control information [guidelines
section 3.2.8] tobe adjusted to meet your particular
requirements.
This start-up-kit has been
validated to the W3C's WAI 'A' standard, it is essential
that you revalidate your pages before publishing them
[guidelines
section 2.4.3, section
2.4.7 and section
6.1.6]
This kit employs the recommended
UK government Accesskeys standard [guidelines
section 2.4.4] and has an accompanying example of
graphic free Easy Access pages.
The start-up kit can be
downloaded as a zip
file (87kB). It has 13 files at root, eg, index.htm,
whatsnew.htm, sitemap.htm etc, a css directory with
two files, easyaccess directory with 8 files, images
directory with two general images and logo sub-directory
with 5 images, a library directory with 5 html files
and two sub-directories - pdf for PDF downloables and
rtf for RTF downloadables.
